The excellence of tomatoes grown in the Salerno and Naples areas

Inserbo brings the flavor of homemade tomato preserves back to the table, like they used to be. Because the artisanal processing of tomatoes, a tradition in the Campania region, is a family ritual.

The excellence of the tomato grown in the Salerno and Naples areas has always been an absolute protagonist of Italian cuisine, and offers fragrant and valuable varieties, appreciated for their authentic flavor.

An essential element in the dishes of the Bel Paese, and even more so for the family tradition of Campania. This is demonstrated by the ancient custom, which survived until recent times, of families gathering in the alleys, in old doorways and in the neighborhoods, to make jars and bottles together to keep in the pantry for the rest of the year.

Inserbo was born to not lose this good habit, with the aim of preparing always genuine and homemade products.

With a rich territorial heritage, it offers its new and exclusive vision, in the name of authenticity, typicality and the advantages of glass as a conservation method.

The Inserbo recipe enhances local plantations: the San Marzano DOP tomato from the Agro-Sarnese Nocerino area, the Corbara cherry tomato from the Lattari Mountains and the Piennolo del Vesuvio DOP cherry tomato from the volcano's lands. Without forgetting, then, the BIO production: the maximum expression of genuineness and goodness, it is preserved in glass and obtained using exclusively raw materials from organic cultivations.

1983

Conserve Manfuso, a family business, is born. In August of the same year, in a small factory in Sant'Antonio Abate, the first tomato campaign begins.

2003

In August, a small production of tomatoes preserved in glass begins, from which 536 jars of peeled tomatoes and 970 jars of tomato fillets are obtained.

2007

Conserve Manfuso, a family business, is born. In August of the same year, the first tomato campaign began in a small factory in Sant'Antonio Abate.

2009

The new INSERBO brand comes to life

2010

It's the year of restyling: new graphic design, new jar format. The revisitation of an ancient and traditional genuineness like the territory.

2012

The product range was enriched with the processing of Corbara Cherry Tomatoes, which that year consisted of 2700 jars of Corbara Cherry Tomatoes in juice and 720 jars of Corbara Cherry Tomatoes in water and salt.

2013

New natural organic products are introduced, Peeled tomatoes and Tomato fillets without added juice or water…
…and another famous Campanian excellence: the Piennolo del Vesuvio DOP cherry tomato.

2014

INSERBO enhances the excellence of the Campania tomato in some new exclusive formats: Crushed and natural, made exclusively of fresh tomatoes, without the addition of salt, juice or water. The most authentic way to enjoy the Schiacciata di Pomodorini del Piennolo del Vesuvio DOP and the Schiacciata di Pomodorini di Corbara.

2015

The Inserbo catalogue is enriched with a new product. This year also begins the production and processing of the Yellow Tomato, in all its forms, natural in water and salt or crushed in the 350g, 520g and 950g formats.

2016

It's the year of vegetables in oil, a rich selection of vegetables and greens in retail and ho.re.ca formats.

2017

Organic legumes and ready-made sauces join the Inserbo family
